People love to eat out — and so do we. When we dine out, we look for warm hospitality, delicious food, and an inviting atmosphere. That first flavorful bite that warms the heart and mind is what inspired us to open Chiang Mai Thai Cookhouse.
We first opened our doors on Elm Street in McLean, Virginia in 2018 as a cozy neighborhood restaurant with just a few tables. Thanks to the incredible support from our customers, we soon grew and moved to a larger location just a minute away.
With over seven years of experience cooking at Chiang Mai Thai Cookhouse, our chef is excited to share his culinary vision with every guest. Our caring and committed team ensures that you always have a wonderful dining experience with us.
Thai-born Chef Tee and his wife, Chef Mod, developed their passion for cooking while living and working in the United States. Cooking has always been a meaningful part of their lives.
Chef Tee brings the authentic flavors of his childhood and his mother’s cooking to our menu. From her, he learned to respect fresh, genuine ingredients and to create vibrant flavors that turned family meals into joyful celebrations.
As his passion for cooking continued to grow, Chef Tee entered the restaurant world with determination and a love for fine cuisine. With confidence, perseverance, and years of hands-on experience, he took a leap of faith — and opened a place of his own.
